Yes, this situation I faced on 19-may-09 on that time I was shocked actually this situation was informed by one of our blog reader to me. I was confused what to do next. The main problem is the my website is not displaying in IE browser it loads the website correctly after completing loading it gives the error showing error “operation aborted“ see the below image
Have you checked your website is working properly in IE ?
Most of the webmasters are using Firefox browser they won’t use IE browser so they won’t check in IE browser so check your site is completable with IE browser because most of the visitors are using IE browser itself.
Why this type of error occurs ?
After researching a lot of time for this error “operation aborted” i came to know that this happens because of Java scripts. IE don’t supports Java scripts so it happens. For more information about this visit here
Some most important points to be noted:
- This problem occurs due to misplacement of Java scripts
- All Java script won’t affects
- Kontera Ad Java scripts also causes this type of error some times
- In my case Podpress plugin causes this error.
Steps I have taken to make work properly in IE browser
- Firstly i changed the current theme to other theme(to check weather the problem is with the theme or not) – No problem found in my theme.
- Deactivated all the plugins(except Google XML sitemaps ) and checked in IE but won’t works
- All the plugins folder deleted (but not Google XML sitemaps generator). Once again i checked in IE in this case also not worked
- Then i removed Feed burner, Google Analytics, Stat counter and Friend connect codes and then i cleared up cookies, caches, temporary memory and some other. Here the magic happens my site worked properly in IE browser now.
- Then i started adding one by one plugins after adding each plugins i will checking in IE weather it is working or not ( Don’t add Podpress plugin )
- After completing my plugins work then i moved to Widgets work that is adding Feed burner, Google Analytics and Stat counter Widgets back to the normal place after adding each Widgets i am checking it in IE browser weather it works or not
Ok, my work is now completed and now it is successfully opening in IE browser too… If you are facing with the similar problem then follow the procedures as explained above.
