Have you worried about your friends copying data from system through pen drive ? If yes here is the solution for it. You cannot stop your friends when they are copying your important data or your collections through the pen drive and you cannot able to say stop copying. So the solution is disabling your Usb port don’t think of removing cable form usb port instead we just need to alter only Registry file  that’s all.

Steps to Disable all usb port through Registry editing:

There are many ways to disable usb ports but today i am showing the easiest method of disabling the usb port by just editing/adding Registry file to your Pc.

  1. Download the Disable.reg file
  2. [OR]

    Copy the below code into the Notepad and save the File as Disable.reg

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUSBSTOR]

    “Start”=dword:00000004

  3. Double click the Disable.reg file it will ask confirmation message select Yes

Now your done your usb port won’t works any more you can check by inserting your pen drive.

Enabling Usb port using Registry File:

After disabling usb port your usb port won’t works to get your usb gain to work follow simple steps

  1. Download Enable.reg File
  2. [OR]

    Copy the below code into the Notepad and save the File as Enable.reg

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUSBSTOR]

    “Start”=dword:00000003

  3. Double click the Enable.reg file as soon as you click it will ask confirmation message select Yes when prompt.

Now your Usb port start working again.

Know this:

In most of the schools and office they disable the usb ports for protecting there system from Virus by using this files you can once again enable usb ports.
