When we are using internet we have to deal a several logins and passwords and some sites impose some weird usernames and passwords that are impossible to remember.here comes our favourite browser The biggest Mozilla FireFox to store all of our passwords so when you try to access your facebook ,gmail , twitter … accounts you dont have to write every time your informations

this is really great but there is a little problem in this , the problem is that every person using your computer can go and see all of your stored passwords with just a few mouse clicks. hopefully firefox have a feature that can help us to make this private and dont lete anyone except us to see those passwords.

1. Start Mozilla Firefox
2. Click to Tools
3. Select Option
4. Go to Security Tab
5. Check Use a Master Password
6. Specify your password and VOILA it’s done

Sometimes a virus or some malicious script makes the Folder Options not visible even when it is explicitly enabled.

In this case you can’t configure your computer to let you see your hidden files and folders,your fles system ,the extensions of your files and a lot of other features

Now lets see how to fix it :

Go to start/run or ctrl+r and write regedit (see the picture)

and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer

and then select nofolderoptions click on it and change his value to 0 and then push OK

And it’s all what you want to do to fix it and this is what you will see after the finish

> Uninstall IE 9 Add-Ons

Installing too many add-ons affects the overall performance of the web browser. This may be a reason of Internet Explorer 9 crashing. Although some of these toolbars are of great use but often we install the ones which are not frequently used. For instance, some softwares come up with the option to install the browser toolbars. In many cases these are less important to the computer users.

To fix this issue uninstall all the unnecessary add-ons. Follow the steps below:

1. Run IE 9

2. Click on Tools (at top right corner) and then click on Manage Add-Ons

3. A new window will appear on your screen select unwanted add-on and click on Disable

4. Press OK and Restart your browser

> Disable Hardware Acceleration

Internet Explorer crashing can also be fixed by disabling hardware acceleration. The acceleration shall be adjusted in order to watch multimedia content specially. You can adjust the acceleration easily. To do so follow the steps stated below:

1. Click on Start and open Control Panel
2. Click on Network and Internet

3. Click on Internet Options

4. In Internet Option click on Advanced tab

5. Check the box “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering”

6. Click Apply button

7. Restart PC

> Reinstall IE 9

This browser is installed as a Windows update and incorrect or corrupted installation may lead to crashing issues. In sever cases you can uninstall the browser to reinstall it again. The process to uninstall it is a little different as compared which is given here:

1. Click on Start

2. Open Control Panel

3. Now click on Programs and Features

4. In the left panel of Programs and Features click on View Installed Updates

5. Right-click on Internet Explorer 9

6. Click on Uninstall

7. Restart your computer on completion of process

“File system corrupt and unreadable”

To my shock and dismay, all the pictures on my drive became inaccessible. I tried to fix the problem by running ‘chkdsk’ utility for data recovery but failed miserably. Since I could not afford to lose a single picture, I madly searched the Internet to know the ways to fix the corrupted hard drive. During my search, I came to know that the only way to fix a hard drive corruption is formatting. Since I could not afford to lose a single picture, I couldn’t go ahead with formatting. I again explored the Web to find a solution for my peculiar problem. What I discovered was truly an eye-opener, I found out that storage media corruption is not a big deal and my pictures can be recovered easily by using a picture recovery software after formatting.

Steps to Login Yahoo mail account using Gmail id:

1. Login to your Yahoo mail account using your Yahoo id and password
2. Once you Logged in look for “Account Info” link in the top right side and click that link
3. After that they will redirected once again to Login page again Login with your Yahoo id and Yahoo password
4. You will now landed in Yahoo Account information page. In this page check for “Edit/create Identities” link from Public Information option
5. Now you will landed into “Manage your Yahoo! Identities” page in that click “Add an email address” option and enter your Gmail or any other mailing service id and click save button.



6. They will sent a mail to your Gmail inbox(we are using Gmail to Login to Yahoo account) verify the email id by clicking on the Verification Link
7. After Verifying your Gmail id just click Continue option
8. Once again they will redirected to Login page so Login with your yahoo id and password
9. You will redirected to “Manage Your Yahoo! Identities” once again now just click Close option
10. Once you will done click on the Finish button
11. Now sign out to your Yahoo mail account and sign in with your Gmail id and Password

“Start”=dword:00000004

2. Double click the Disable.reg file it will ask confirmation message select Yes

Now your done your usb port won’t works any more you can check by inserting your pen drive.

Enabling Usb port using Registry File:

After disabling usb port your usb port won’t works to get your usb gain to work follow simple steps

1. Download Enable.reg File

[OR]

Copy the below code into the Notepad and save the File as Enable.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesUSBSTOR]

“Start”=dword:00000003

2. Double click the Enable.reg file as soon as you click it will ask confirmation message select Yes when prompt.

Now your Usb port start working again.

Know this:

In most of the schools and office they disable the usb ports for protecting there system from Virus by using this files you can once again enable usb ports.

Temporally disabling an Autorun in Single step:

If you hold the shift key while when you are inserting disk/drive you can bypass the autorun most of the time. It works fine in Windows 95 to Xp, but unfortunately not works in Windows Vista.

Permanent solution for Disabling Autorun functionality in Windows Xp as well as Windows Vista:

To disable Autorun Feature in Vista and Xp Follow the simple steps

1. Click Start button and navigate to Run prompt in Run prompt type Gpedit.msc
2. Navigate Computer Configuration >> Administrative  Templates >> Windows Components and then click Autoplay policies



3. In the Details pane, double-click Turn off Autoplay
4. A new pop up menu will displays in that select Enable option and in Turn off Autoplay On: Click on the drop done menu and select All Drives and click Apply and Ok



5. Restart your computer

Are you using windows vista O.S ? and tired of clicking small shout down button in vista ? If the answer is yes for the above question then this post is for you anyway if the answer may be NO but knowing this trick is not bad so come let’s see how can we change default shut down button in windows vista.

Windows vista has enhanced feature has compared to windows xp some of them are display property, great security for online user and graphics and some other. Even though having a positive feature it also contains some drawback i.e shut down button, refresh option etc.

So in this post i am talking about shut down button. In vista by default the shut down button placement is not so gud see the below image

the above image is the default shut down button i.e to shut down we to click small arrow > (no 1) and then we need to select Shut down (no 2) isn’t boring to do such process ? yes, defiantly it is not a good placement  so i am going to explain how can we change that shut down button.

To change shut down button of vista just follow the simple steps:

1. In the first step we need a software called Tuneup-utilities 2009 if you don’t have you can download it here
2. After installing open it and navigate to Customize windows >> Tuneup system control >> Adjust Start Menu and Taskbar as shown below
   

   

3. After completing the above steps a new menu will opens. In that select General tab(by default it will come no worry about it) see power off button option
4. In power off button click on Drop down menu see the image

   in that select shut down computer option and click  Apply and Ok.

Now you are done you shut down button is now changed see the below image

now onwards you can turn off easily without risk : )
